Known coverage limits

  • Scotland: Police Scotland does not publish to data.police.uk and planning.data.gov.uk is England-only, so Scottish postcodes return no data.
  • Wales: crime is covered; planning layers are not (England-only platform).
  • Greater Manchester: GMP has had multi-year gaps in published street-level crime; every report lists the months actually returned.
  • Crime locations are anonymised by the publisher to a nearby street point (roughly ±100m) and dated to the month only.
  • Planning layers depend on each council publishing to the national platform. An empty layer means "not published or nothing recorded", never a guarantee.
